Volunteer Guidelines
ALL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT PAID
MEMBERS OF THE CLUB.
There are many opportunities to volunteer your time to the
Phoenix Coyotes Booster Club. The following is an explanation
of the requirements and responsibilities of each type of
volunteering opportunity. Volunteers for the Booster Club are
representing not only the Club, but also the Coyotes in many
instances. As a result, all volunteers must refrain from
consuming alcoholic beverages prior to volunteering, and smokers
must remove themselves from the area before smoking. We are a
family organization, and adults should remember that children may be
present at all events and volunteer opportunities, and should be
respectful of their presence and conduct themselves accordingly. If you do not have tickets to the game,
this is a great way to get in to the arena! If you are interested
in volunteering to work, please email us at
volunteer@coyotesbc.org and tell us which date you'd
like to volunteer, and whether or not you have tickets to the game.
Members who volunteer to work the table will earn 25 points! During the Game
- Arrive at the table at the beginning of the game
(national anthem)
- Hand out applications and other information to
potential members
- Accept filled out applications and payments from new
members and hand out membership benefits
- Promote joining the club to those who are interested
- Run the 50/50 games
- Answer questions from public
- Help break down the table at the end of the 2nd
intermission
Silent Auctions
- Explain the silent auction rules
- Provide information regarding the item to
those with questions
Selling
Merchandise
- Explain what the items are
- Collect funds and provide change
- Track the number of sales
Process
- Inform us that you are interested in volunteering by emailing us
at
volunteer@coyotesbc.org
- We will leave your name at the security desk at Gate 3 so you
can enter the arena
- Arrive at the table before the National Anthem is
performed
- We will give you instructions for working the table once you
arrive. This takes about 10 minutes. If you can come to
the table first, we will brief you, then you can go do whatever you
like until the anthem
- You will stay at the table until the end of the second
intermission
- When multiple volunteers are working at the same
time, one at a time may step away from the table to view
the game. When only one person is volunteering,
he/she must stay at the table the entire time
- Then you can go to a standing room only section and watch the
remainder of the game
50/50 Raffle Volunteers
There are two ways we help the Coyotes with the
50/50 Raffle. We schedule a date for our Club to sell tickets
and raise money for the Club. We are also the organization the
Coyotes will call if the scheduled organization cancels at the last
minute. When we fill in at the last minute, the rules change
slightly
Planned Date
We must have 20 volunteers on our list at least
two weeks before our scheduled date - Thursday February 9th. The
volunteers must be 18 years or older. Children no longer will
receive a free ticket for volunteering. They can help, but a
ticket must be purchased for them.
Last Minute Assignment
We will get notice only a day or two before the
game, so we are not required to get 20 people, as many as we can get
is acceptable. All of the other requirements still apply,
including volunteer tickets for children under 18.
