Minutes

Meeting Date: Saturday November 24th, 1 - 2pm

Attendance: All five officers were on time and present for the entire meeting. In addition, 21 members and Don Schwartz from the Coyotes were present for the entire meeting.

Agenda:

  • Jersey auction on 11/24/07 and the December Christmas themed auctions at the first three games of the month.
  • End of year award; will be named after Beth Champie, a committee will need to be created to determine the qualifications for the award. This award will be for the player with the most dedication to the fans/community. It will be voted on by Booster Club members only.
  • What benefits do the members want to get out of being a member?
  • Viewing party on 12/15/07 at Half Moon in Phoenix on 3rd St/Greenway (11:00AM game).
  • December meeting date is December 29th (Red Wings game) @ 2pm. Next time we will meet in the employee break room of the arena. We will enter through Gate 3.

Items that were discussed:

  1. The next meeting will be at Jobing.com arena, in the employee break room. This meeting will be on 122907 at 3:00PM. Members will enter through gate 3.
  2. The lighted necklaces have arrived. The price is $5.00 each. Members can earn points by volunteering to sell necklaces. The Booster Club pucks will be in on Monday. These pucks will be used for membership point rewards.
  3. Volunteers are needed to work the Booster Club booth for all five games in December. Members should contact Dave Horn at volunteer@phxcoyotesboosterclub.com  to sign up as a volunteer.
  4. At tonight’s game, the Club will auction the training camp jersey (highest bid was $285.00) and the rookie camp jersey (highest bid was $150.00).
  5. At the first three games in December, Coyotes Christmas stockings filled with assorted items will be auctioned. Some items will include a Coyotes beanie hat, Booster club puck, an autographed puck, lighted necklace, team photo and more.
  6. In January, the Club will auction an autographed stick and pucks. The Club has hats from the Grizzlies signed by Coyotes players that played there.
  7. More members are earning their t-shirts tonight.
  8. October financials were detailed. Ending of October had $1754.54 in the Club account including the petty cash fund. The mandatory savings account is at $25.07.
  9. There will be a tailgate party for the Booster Club on 122207 before the Vancouver game at approximately 3:00PM. A tentative head count would be appreciated. Contact membership@phxcoyotesboosterclub.com  if you can attend.

Jay and Gwen McMichael, Monique Reaux, Kirsten Hathcock and Andrea Hasbrouck will form this committee.
  11. There are a total of 137 members in the Booster Club with 6 pending on payment. Even Daniel Carcillo’s grandfather is a member of the Club.
  12. What benefits do the members want to get out of being a member? To shoot the puck after the game on the ice was one suggestion. A viewing party will be on 121507 at Half Moon Sports Grill in Phoenix on 3rd St/Greenway (11:00AM game). The Club will provide some appetizers and will have door prizes during the game.
  13. Club member Nichole Barnes will be going to a game in Minnesota, in January, if anyone would like to join her.

The next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for 12/29/07 at 3:00 PM in the Jobing.com arena employee break room.
