Membership Items

The meeting was scheduled to allow us to meet with Joan, who works for an advertising and specialty items company. We discussed what we are planning to give away to members. She gave us really good advice regarding how much we should spend to get members, and good ideas for rewarding the members who are active and participate.

The meeting was extremely helpful in giving us guidance in how to move forward with the items.

We determined that it is important for us to meet with the Coyotes to discuss co-branding options with other companies.  We want to be sure that we don't over extend sponsors, and that the ideas we have are acceptable, not contradictory.

We are looking at the following items as possible booster club exclusives - pin, lanyard, hat, shirt, necklace, dog tags, Howler pin

Logo

We reviewed the logo options.  The votes from future members were mostly for #s 2 and 3.  We also liked those, but decided the best was #1.  It offers us the most flexibility of use.

We will inform the Coyotes that we like #1 best, and would like to move forward with using that one.

Membership Pins

We like the sample pin that was created after our last meeting. We have to depend on someone else to create it for us, so we can only move forward with that design if it can get done in time.

If not, we will use part of the new logo instead, because it is already designed.

The old pins are now posted for sale on eBay. The going rate seems to be $4.99 for that type of pin. The payments will come in via PayPal directly to the Booster Club account.

Convention

None of the officers are able to attend the convention.  We will contact the Philadelphia organizers to let them know we won't have any delegates there.

We will provide some information regarding the future activities of the club to the former members who may be attending. This way they will be able to answer questions appropriately.

We will also distribute the information to the rest of the booster clubs via an existing email distribution list.

August Open House

We have a very small quantity of the old club lanyards left.  We discussed handing them out at the August open house with an application, and a special offer for a 10th anniversary pin if they pay before the start of the season.

Accounting

The checks for the new account have come in.  Rebecca and Heather will meet at Desert Schools to add Rebecca as a signer on the account.

We do have an outstanding bill to the NHLBC for our own membership dues.  It is $15 per year.  The invoice has been forwarded to Rebecca to be paid.

Coyotes Follow-up Meeting

We need to set up a meeting to talk to the Coyotes about a few things -

  • Potential sponsors / co-branding opportunities
  • Legal wording for the website etc
  • Logo / pins
  • What kind of presence can we have at the Open Houses?
  • Booth update / clarification

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00pm.  The next meeting will be with the Coyotes on 7/31 before the Open House, then at the Open House with potential new members.
