Meeting Date and Location: Saturday, April 11, 2009 2pm Suite 1123, Jobing.com Arena

Attendance:  4 board members in attendance/49 Booster Club members in attendance
Guest Speaker – Don Maloney, General Manager

Agenda

  2. Tonight we will present our Beth Champie memorial trophy
    1. Background of trophy
    2. Will be part of the pre-game events, so try to get back to your seat in time to howl for us!
    3. Thanks for the howls for the check presentation, I heard you!
  3. Thanks to everyone for everything!
    1. Coyotes events have been well attended by the Club
    2. Club events have also been well attended
    3. Volunteers have been available for every event we’ve needed you for
    4. People have been referring friends and earning extra points
    5. Club improvements – 07-08 membership was 78, ended the season with $1600 with no donations
  4. Membership Update
    1. Current year members – 357
    2. 2009-10 year members – 35 paid as of 4/10
    3. Renewals for next season are appreciated – the more we collect in advance, the more we have to use to pay for next season’s membership rewards
    4. New member offer available now thru June 30 – Season + special includes the rest of this season (6/30) and all of next season and the price is just an extra $10. Members receive all rewards from both years, and can start earning points now

  7. Teammates for Kids reminder
    1. It’s not too late, and now you can donate knowing how much it will cost up front
    2. Club donation so far is $638
  8. Convention
    1. If anyone is interested in attending the NHLBCC in Las Vegas from August 7 -9, please let me know
    2. So far just 3 of us are going, but this is a fun event with lots of other hockey fans!
  9. Assistance for other clubs
    1. Anaheim has contacted us for help in reforming their fan club/booster club
    2. Los Angeles has asked for suggestions for growing their club the way we continue to grow ours
    3. We want to support the success of all clubs, so we will do what we can to help them
  10. Off Season Activities
    1. The Coyotes will host events aimed at selling additional tickets
    2. There will probably be a Draft Day party also, we’ll pass along details when they become available
    3. We will attend all of the public events
    4. Any suggestions for other club activities?
      1. Playoff viewing parties?
      2. Diamondbacks games?
      3. Anything else?
  11. 2009-10 Season
    1. New second charity/walk?
      1. Swift Charities focuses on the West Valley Child Crisis Center, do we do that one and help the Coyotes with a toy drive / clothing drive next season?
      2. Susan G Komen / Pat Tillman?
      3. Find a charity with a local tie?
    2. We will be helping the marketing department with the giveaways next season and possibly other events
    3. We will need volunteers for the table, as usual
    4. 50/50 – we will pick another Saturday game vs a Canadian team in the spring, and hopefully will have another excellent return
      1. Most likely we will remain the Coyotes go-to organization in the event someone isn’t able to fulfill their commitments
    5. Rewards?
      1. What kinds of things would you like to earn as rewards?
      2. Keep in mind needs to be low priced so we can maximize our donations
    6. Silent Auctions
      1. We will get more jerseys and sticks for auctions next season
      2. Anyone who works for a company that might want to put together any type of package for silent auctions, please let us know
  12. End of year party
    1. No information yet, but we are looking at an end of April, early May date
    2. Location will hopefully be the Oggi’s in North Scottsdale
