Guest Speaker – Brad Treliving - Assistant General Manager & General
Manager, San Antonio Rampage
Agenda:
- Guest speaker Brad Treliving
- Mr. Treliving addressed the current losing streak and
injuries to several players
- Mueller is still listed Day-to-Day
- Tikhonov skating with Rampage for conditioning
- Sauer is skating but still a long way from returning
- Praised hard work of Perrault, Schlemko, Hoggan,
Goertzen
- Key Questions Asked:
Q. Up and down roster involving call-ups?
A. We have roster vs role issues that are constantly in flux,
right now we need hard work ethic and a good checking line which
we may have found in Goertzen/Hoggan combo
Q. Quick recap of prospects?
A. Porter needs more experience with schedule rigors, McClean
needs polishing skating but good net presence/PP, Spina has been
hampered with injuries (concussion) but works hard and has good
speed
Q. 2011 All Star Game?
A. To be addressed in next board meeting but would be “shocked”
is it isn’t coming. Also mentioned some All Star/Draft
scheduling matching issues
Q. Buyers or Sellers for trade deadline?
A. Unsure at this point but looking to add depth/scoring to the
blueline. Future signings were questionable
Q. Shane Doan’s future? Will we “rebuild” enough in his career
lifespan?
A. NO WORRIES. This “big horse” has TONS of time left. Likened
our effort to the Blackhawks
