Items on the agenda were presented by the
Booster Club Board Officers:
-
Heather announced that Brad Treliving would be the guest Speaker
during the meeting.
- Jaclyn read a letter from Larry Halliday, Membership Chair, since he
was in Grenoble, France. The Club is up to 178 members, this is 100
over the total membership for last season.
- The next meeting will be on 02/24/08 at 2:00 PM, the game begins at
6:00 PM. The meeting place may be a Tower Suite again.
- Some members earned rewards, and these were handed out by Heather
Schroeder, the President.
- Dave Horn, Vice President, expressed the Club still needs volunteers
for during the first two periods of most upcoming games. There are
volunteers for the game on 01/20/08 against Buffalo and 02/16/08
against the Kings. Please contact him at
volunteer@phxcoyotesboosterclub.com to sign up to earn points.
- Jenn Harrison, Treasurer, announced the balance in the checking
account is $5241.62 after the most recent deposits. Heather
explained the Club made $1250.00 from the auctioned team signed
jersey, $180.00 from a set of six signed booster Club pucks in
individual cases and the amount made from the 50/50 raffle was
$980.31. Thank you to everyone that helped.
- The Club is almost out of the 2005-06 pins. If you would like one
see the Booster Club table. There are still plenty of 10th
Anniversary pins available as well.
- The four page wish list that was presented to the Coyotes was
received well. There were no flat out no’s on any items. Some item
can be changed a bit. It looks promising. The organization loved the
idea of a broom ball game on the ice during an intermission.
- There are still lots of great team items available from Walter.
Contact Heather for more information.
- Derek Morris and Keith Ballard will donate signed sticks for the
club to auction. Stan, the equipment manager, will get additional
items from other players as well. Some items might have to be
purchased.
- There could be a possible road trip for the last game of the regular
season to Anaheim on Sunday, 04/06/08. It is a 5:00 PM game. If the
Club rents a bus, it could be a one day event.
- The
American Heart Association walk is on Saturday, 03/01/08 at Tempe
Town Lake. There is no registration fee. You can get pledges for
donations to the charity. It has a 1 mile and a 5K (3 miles) walk.
The Coyotes are a Bronze level sponsor to the AHA and this is Doug
Moss’ favorite charity.
- The
Club will have a tailgate party on Saturday, 02/16/08 at 4:00 PM. An
email will be sent out soon to start getting RSVPs.
- If
the Club has enough money at the end of the season to make a
donation to the Coyotes Charities, there will be a grant created in
the Phoenix Coyotes Booster Club name. This will support youth
hockey.
- Lots of Club members are winning prizes at games. Most recently a
couple members won the videos being advertised and Mike Brand was
the lucky winner to travel with the team on their plane to Dallas.
He will submit a journal for us to all enjoy his journey.
- Many members have said this Club is better than ever before. Thank
you, this is because of the great members in the Club.
- Don
Schwartz has an article in the new program about the Coyotes
Charities, be sure to pick up a copy.
- Brad Treliving was the guest speaker and spoke highly of the players
on the team playing now and the young players coming up through
other parts of the organization. He stated the San Antonio Rampage
is having success as well. Overall the organization is happy with
the franchise. Everyone is excited to have 3 coaches again after
02/07/08. Some questions were answered and he will look into why the
transmission on AZTV is so poor for Coyotes games and why the Radio
Show after the game was moved to behind closed doors.
The next Booster Club meeting is scheduled for
02/24/08 at 2:00 PM in a Jobing.com arena Tower Suite.
