Arizona Sundogs Take the Ray Miron President's Cup!

The Phoenix Coyotes’ Central Hockey League (CHL) affiliate, the Arizona Sundogs, have won their first-ever Ray Miron President’s Cup in just their second season of play in the CHL. The Sundogs defeated the Colorado Eagles 6-3 at the Budweiser Events Center on Friday to complete a four-game sweep. Sundogs goaltender Rob McVicar stopped 41 of 44 shots and earned playoff MVP honors.

With the win, Arizona becomes the first team in the CHL in ten years to sweep a team in the President’s Cup Finals. The Sundogs finished the postseason with a 12-5 record, beating the New Mexico Scorpions in the semi-finals, the Laredo Bucks in the conference finals and the Colorado Eagles in the President’s Cup Finals.

Next season we hope to be a little more involved and aware of the Sundogs, and hope to help them celebrate the raising of their championship banners!

If you are interested in joining the Phoenix Coyotes Booster Club, now is the time!  Anyone who signs up after March 1st will get membership in the club for the rest of the current season, and ALL of the following season.  The cost is just an extra $10 for the additional time.

Members who sign up through the Season+ special will get the membership materials for the current season as well as the for the following season.

Existing Member Renewals

If you are already a member and would like to renew your membership for next season, now is the time. 

By renewing early, you will receive 25 membership points to start the 2008-09 season.  We are also hoping to get a special item from the Coyotes, but we do not have details on that at this time.
