The Coyotes contacted us directly to get some fans to
the Alltel Ice Den at 5pm to be an audience for the press conference
with the local Phoenix media.
Approximately 75 fans attended, which was very high
considering the invitation went out ONLY through email and social media
- Twitter and Facebook.

Tuesday, Feb 17th ~ Season Ticket Holder Meet and
Greet
At least 90 members attended this event for full and
half season ticket holders. All of the current players except
David Hale were present and signed autographs etc for STHs from 6:30 to
9pm.
We made $215 selling the team photo before the event.
Some of the members played a joke on Tyson Nash during
this event. He had made a comment on air to Bob Heethuis about the
wanting pink roses so they would match his panties. We took that
to the next level, and actually brought Tyson some panties! He
carried a gift bag around all night as members kept bringing him
additional pairs. Tyson has a great sense of humor and laughed
when Heeter brought it up when they were interviewed on the jumbotron!
Monday, Feb 16th ~ Game vs. Edmonton Oilers
We had a silent auction of a 2008-09 team signed
jersey. The winning bidder paid $225 by credit card to Coyotes
Charities.

Morris game used hockey stick. The winning bidder paid $200 cash
for the stick.

Bryzgalov third jersey. The winning bidder paid $200 cash for the

Sabres
Before the game we had a tailgate party. 22
members came out to Lot J before the game to enjoy burgers, brats and

For this game only, we were set up at the main gate.
We took advantage of this opportunity to silent auction the hand made
wooden Arizona state sign that had been autographed by the whole team,
coaches and broadcasters as well as an autographed Shane Doan All Star
jersey.
The winning bidders of the sign paid $450 to Coyotes
Charities. The winning bidder of the jersey paid $300 to Coyotes
Charities. A second bidder offered to pay the same amount for a
second All Star jersey, so we had another one made. It was
autographed and delivered to the winner on Feb 17th.

Monday, August 11th - Start of Conditioning Camp
On Monday at 10:45 am some of the professional hockey
players who are currently in the Valley began the Athletes Resource annual conditioning
camp out at Alltel Ice Den. They gather together for drills and
scrimmages to get in game shape for the upcoming season.
At least 5 Booster Club members were in the stands
along with Don Maloney and Brad Treliving to watch as the players took
the ice.
Some of the players there on that first day were -
Shane Doan, Derek Morris, Peter Mueller, Olli Jokinen, Keith Yandle,
Dave Spina, Mikkel Boedker, Jonas Ahnelov.
Former Coyotes Jeff Taffe, Bill Thomas, Nick Boynton,
and Tyson Nash were there, as well as some players from Prescott, ASU
and other local men's leagues.
Saturday, August 9th - Open House
Over 2500 people attended this open house, with 70
of them being Booster Club members! This was our first opportunity
to meet Olli Jokinen, and Shane Doan and Peter Mueller were also there
to meet with the fans and help to sign up new season ticket holders.
We signed up 11 new members and renewed a family of 6,
bringing our numbers up to 191 for the upcoming season.
We also had an opportunity to hand out pins and
lanyards to those who had paid, as well as our newest members.
Those who had ordered polo shirts at our happy hour
with Derek got a chance to pick up their shirts.
This was our first event of the new membership year,
so it was the first opportunity most people got to earn points.
Under our new points structure, this event was worth 10 points.

Saturday, June 28 - Happy Hour with
Derek Morris
Saturday evening the Coyotes hosted an End of the
Season Happy Hour for us at the Sandbar in North Scottsdale. It
was a wonderful event with a buffet and non-alcoholic beverages.
The food was excellent, and even though we had to share the venue with
the Iowa Hawkeyes, we had a great time.
Almost 100 members came to spend some time socializing
with each other and Derek Morris. Derek was there for over an hour
an a half, walking from table to table talking to the members. It
was great to get a chance to talk to Derek and get to know him, rather
than having him stuck behind a table signing autographs.
We presented him with a plaque that he could take home
from the Beth Champie Memorial Trophy we awarded him at the end of the
season. Humble and nice Derek was really flattered and happy to
receive the plaque!
We had a wonderful time, and hope that we can have an
event like this every year!
Members who attended this event earned 5 membership
points.
Wednesday, June 25 - Rookies Open House @ Jobing.com
Arena
All of the rookies made an appearance at an Open House
out at the arena. The line for autographs was one of the longest
we've seen in a long time, as people rushed for an opportunity to meet
some of the young and future stars of the team.
People who hadn't already purchased season tickets had
an opportunity to so do, and we signed up 7 new members on our season+
special.
The 49 members who attended this event earned 5
membership points.
June 24 thru June 28 - Rookie Camp @ Peoria Desert
Schools Coyotes Center
The Coyotes have started a tradition of hosting an off
season Rookie Camp for the new young members of the team. This
year we got to see the kids drafted the weekend before as well as some
young stars that have been in the system for a while.
The kids get to come to Phoenix where they learn from
the pros to help them as they develop and earn a spot on the Coyotes
team. They get instruction in the areas of training, diet,
skating, financial planning and other skills they will need.
Each day they skated at the Peoria Desert Schools
Coyotes Center, which were open to the public. Members were
encouraged to come get a look at the rookies in action. At the
very least, it was a way to get out of the Arizona heat and into the
cool!
There were between 4 and 21 members at each practice.
Members who watched the practices earned 5 membership
points per day.
Friday, June 20 - Draft Party at Upper Deck Sports Grill
On Friday afternoon, the Coyotes hosted an event at
the Upper Deck Sports Grill in Scottsdale. The new radio station
and its hosts were there as well as Bob Heethuis and Louie DeBrusk.
Throughout the evening they asked trivia questions and awarded prizes.
Derek Morris and Peter Mueller were there signing
autographs and taking pictures. As usual, they were really great
and fun to talk to.
At the event we got the news that we had traded Nick
Boynton and Keith Ballard for Jolli Jokkinen. The entire audience
cheered for the arrival of Jokkinen, and there was an audible AWWWW when
we realized what we gave up for him. Keith and Nick will be
missed, but we are really excited to see what Jokkinen can do to help us
score more goals!
There were 38 members at the event, with three new
members signing up that evening. We finally got the rest of our
broadcast team - Heeter and Louis finally joined!
Members who attended this event earned 5 membership
points.

On Thursday night, hundreds of Coyotes fans gathered
at Jobing.com Arena for the first Open House of the season. These

more information, and those of us who are already ticket holders get a
chance to get together, talk hockey and see members of the Coyotes
staff.
30 club members attended, and we signed up 5 new
members at the event!
This was our first major opportunity to see Derek
Morris this summer, and there will probably be many more to come!
Members who attended earned 5 membership points.
Monday, May 26th - Memorial
Day Viewing Party
On Monday night, 17 members got together at the Half

socialize.

game in Prescott
10 members traveled up to Prescott
to watch the 2nd game of the President's Cup Finals

to play 3 games.
We all hope that we won't see the

they win the Cup!)

collect payments for polo shirts as well.

In addition we had some items that
we did raffles for throughout the evening.

money and earn a bit for the club.
